M7279 and M8879 Amplifier Modules
The M7279 and M8879 are non-inverting amplifier modules designed specifically for use with photodetectors such as photomultiplier tubes. These amplifier modules can operate with either current input or voltage input, allowing direct connection to photomultiplier tubes or other photodetectors. The M7279 is touted as a hybrid IC with protective epoxy and an 8-pin SIP-type, and the M8879 is a 10-pin hybrid IC that allows for compact mounting dimensions on a printed circuit board. Out-of-phase voltage and gain can be easily adjusted by connecting an external variable resistor.
