MPBC's fiber laser product line has evolved into its highly reliable Raman fiber lasers that have been deployed in telecom fiber systems for 20 + years. Superior performance is achieved based on an all-fiber architecture that draws on MPBC's telecom design practices. The all-fiber laser design eliminates the need for alignment, eliminates the use of bulky components, provides unprecedented wavelength and output power stability, and ensures diffraction-limited linearly polarized output.
In addition, the fiber laser series boasts low cost, long service life, low power consumption and virtually no maintenance. Traditional problems of keeping the optics clean and the sensitivity of the cavity alignment to temperature and mechanical vibration do not exist.
The MPBC is able to build up the laser output wavelength by using a fiber Bragg grating to provide a variety of wavelengths based on similar architectures. Built-in intelligence allows control and monitoring via a user-friendly graphical user interface via RS-232 or USB ports, and features automatic power control for excellent power stability.
The lasers are available as compact modules for system integrators or as stand-alone 2RU rack-mounted modules for laboratory use. The rugged design and low cost of ownership make MPBC's fiber lasers ideal for the most demanding applications.
