The FL 26BW has a dark current as low as 0.0005 e-/p/s, and the chip cooling temperature can be locked to -25°C. Imaging performance (signal-to-noise ratio) is superior to that of a typical depth-cooled CCD (ICX695) even at exposures of up to 30 minutes.
