Xintu Aries 16 realizes a major breakthrough in sensitivity performance for back-illuminated sCMOS cameras. The 16 μm super-large image element design scheme adopted, the sensitivity is more than 5 times higher than the typical 6.5 μm image element, and the low-light detection capability is greatly improved; the readout noise is as low as 0.9 e-, which can be used in the field of photon energy level limit signal detection by replacing EMCCD cameras in equivalent speed, and is not affected by the multiplicative noise, gain aging, and other factors, and has the advantage of a higher dynamic range.

The Aries 16 not only adopts back-illuminated chip process technology with a peak quantum efficiency of up to 90%, but also utilizes a large 16µm pixel design scheme, which improves sensitivity by more than 5 times compared to a typical 6.5µm pixel, and dramatically improves low-light detection capability.
