Guaranteed mode-hopping-free tuning over the entire range
The TLB-6700 Velocity guarantees single mode, no mode hopping tuning over the entire specified wavelength range. When performing wavelength tuning, you can be assured that there will be absolutely no mode hopping. This is not a coarse tuning range. No coarse tuning, just smooth, mode-hop-free tuning. Change the wavelength and the laser will not mode jump.

Motorized and piezo controls allow wide range scanning and fine tuning
DC motors allow smooth electrodynamic tuning over the entire wavelength range of the laser for wide range scanning. When you need to make very fine adjustments, the piezoelectric transducer allows fine tuning with sub-picometer resolution from 20-100 GHz.
Low noise, narrow linewidth
Velocity features robust temperature control to reduce wavelength drift and minimize power fluctuations. Our unique magnetic damping technology stabilizes the tuning arm and reduces vibration noise. The included TLB-6700-LN tunable laser delivers high current with very low noise. Based on all these combined technologies, we can guarantee that we can measure very narrow linewidths of less than 200 kHz in less than 50 ms.

Integrated permanent fiber optic coupling
Fiber-coupled models feature an integrated optical isolator and a permanently aligned steel jacketed fiber, so there is no fiber misalignment, which improves efficiency and maintains power stability. In addition, a drop-tested, vibration-resistant enclosure keeps the system rock solid.
